Gaining Significance for Eternity

Meet a Partner in Transforming Lives at Home

As a ministry we are very blessed and honored to partner with many people, families, businesses, and foundations, and YOU—all who unite to show people "JESUS." Bob is one of those partners. We had the privilege to interview Bob. With his permission…

"I had heard about Campus Crusade for Christ, but was not involved with the ministry. Then I received a letter that told about how I could help. As we learned more, my wife and I realized that 'JESUS' was doing evangelism on a large scale. We were touched. That was about 12 years ago, and we’re still giving to 'JESUS.'

"I had been a CEO of a subsidiary of GMAC. When the company was sold in 2006 I received a good severance package. Wanting to give in an unhurried and responsible way, we placed a significant amount in a Donor Advised Fund [learn about DAFs below] for The JESUS Film Project. We invested the amount we wanted to set aside for the kingdom before the end of the year. We did this with the help of The Great Commission Foundation…who were extremely helpful."

We asked Bob if he had anything he wanted us to pass on to you about his experience with the foundation. He did…

"For anybody who has a heart for fulfilling the Great Commission or the 'JESUS' film and what they stand for, the people at the Great Commission Foundation are very helpful. They can develop strategies to help you with your gift, estate and tax planning. You’ll find that their views and yours for the kingdom will be closely aligned. You can go to them with a tremendous amount of confidence."

Much like a foundation, a Donor Advised Fund makes it possible to take tax-wise action today that will enable you to continue to give and fund the kingdom for years to come, according to your wishes. You can choose your fund’s investment strategy (conservative, moderate, growth, etc.). You express how the funds are to be distributed, either from interest earned or principle. Though by law the final distribution and administration rests in the hands of the ministry, your intentions and instructions will be followed as much as possible.

A Donor Advised Fund can be used as a memorial fund, replenished as often as you like. A DAF provides flexibility and responds as much as possible to your directions and wishes (again like a foundation). Through a DAF you can give anonymously, and benefit from substantial tax advantages. If you would like more information or to learn about other tax-wise strategies, you can call 407-541-5102 or email your inquiry to info@gcfccc.org.
