Can
I download the film?

Regarding downloading
the film, there are several issues,
but the main one is copyright.
Warner Bros. still has the distribution
rights and we have legal restrictions
on how the "JESUS" film
is made available.
Obviously, we
cannot prevent someone from
getting a copy of
the film, like the quality of
the DVD, and duplicate, distribute,
etc., but we have to do our due
diligence to avoid copyright
infringement.

Why
not offer the video streams
in other formats besides
RealPlayer files?
|

Yes,
that would be wonderful. We spent
three months developing the specs
at the time we had to redo the
video streams. One of the things
decided for stewardship
reasons, was to work in the SMIL
technology, where we split the
video, audio, text, etc. into
separate streams. This way we
pay for the storage of just one
video stream for each bandwidth,
and then multiply the storage
cost of a much smaller audio
(currently at several hundred
languages). There is a lot
more that SMIL can do, but
Microsoft is not developing
that way, and Apple is still
working on it with QuickTime.
We would love to have all
the translations available
in several formats and are
always looking for technology
partners and donors to help
make that happen.

Just
delete the Jesus Film Stats.scr
file from your Windows System
directory.
The choice will no longer be available in your Screen Saver settings for
the Display Properties.
(The "JESUS"
Film Screen Saver was
designed for Microsoft Windows.
If you have a Mac with a PC
emulator, such
as SoftWindow or VirtualPC,
you may be able to run it.)
