Financial Officer
The Financial Officer provides financial systems and reporting for management information and decision making.
Strengths, gifts, talents required:
a. Quantitative analysis
b. Written and verbal communication skills
c. Working abilities in PeopleSoft
d. Leadership skills or potential
Continuing responsibilities:
a. Contribute to the overall direction of JFP through financial planning
b. Provide ad hoc financial research and reports
c. Provide monthly financial dashboard and crash projection reports
d. Supervise financial administrative team
e. Develop budget summary and recommendations
f. Initiate and provide selected financial analysis and recommendations
Top 3 measurable short range goals:
a. Educate key staff on project accounting and clean up unnecessary projects
b. Monitor budgets and provide recommendations as needed
c. Continue cross-training of financial team
Department Budget available: $130,000 per year
Why is this position needed: The Jesus Film Project is a multimillion dollar organization that provides tools, training, strategies and funding to help fulfill the Great Commission. The Financial Officer will help us make sure funds are spent in the ways that were intended and keep the Executive Leadership team informed as to the current financial condition of JFP. This information is vital in strategic planning and decision making.
Approximate hours/week required: 30-40 hours
