April 2009 Prayer Impact

"The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned" (Isaiah 9:2, NIV).

The JESUS Film Project partners with The Peoples Connection, (see website www.ReachingTheNationsAmongUs.org), a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, to give immigrants living in the United  States an opportunity to hear about Christ.  This partnership has released several multi-language DVDs, some with as many 16 languages of the "JESUS" film.     

• Praise God for the recent opportunities to distribute 500,000 copies of these multi-language DVDs across North American.
• Pray that those who received a DVD willl be open to watch it and respond to the gospel.  
• Pray for wisdom for Christians involved in ministering to those seeking spiritual help and in following up those who responded to the gospel message as a result of watching the DVD.
• Pray that believers will have an increased awareness of people from other countries living among them and be willing to share the love of Christ with them.

   Please include the following in your prayers:

• Praise God for the friends of the ministry who attended the recent Florida Briefing and made financial commitments to support the ministry in 2009 and beyond. Pray that all the commitments tied to projects with matching gifts can be fulfilled by the June 15 deadline.
• Pray for the enlistment of ministry partners and new friends to attend the upcoming Homestead Briefing June 25-28, 2009 in Hot Springs, Virginia.  Pray that God will prepare their hearts for this time and that they will begin to sense His leading for greater involvement with us.
• Pray for a strong response to the April appeal letter seeking funds for digital film projection equipment - especially for the new solar-powered portable DVD and video projector packages.  (See photo.)
• Pray for God's continued provision for funds to distribute "Magdalena: Released From Shame" in the United  States, Europe, and Asia.  Also, pray for the finances to develop a follow-up and discipleship film series to "Magdalena: Released From Shame."
• Pray that a growing number of friends will consider planned and deferred giving opportunities during the current tax season and beyond.  Pray some of these friends will respond by giving assets both now and through their estates to help advance the work of the kingdom.
• Pray for missionary staff needing support for their upcoming summer ministry assignments. Pray, too, for new monthly supporters to help underwrite their roles with Campus Crusade for Christ and The JESUS Film Project and that regular supporters will be able to continue to give.
