December 2008 Prayer Impact

"I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from Me there is no Savior"  (Isaiah 43:11, NIV).

This month television and radio stations around the world will broadcast at least one of the following: the "JESUS" film, "The Story of Jesus for Children" and "Magdalena: Released From Shame."

Please pray:

• That station managers will honor their commitments to air the programs.
• That those living in restrictive access countries will tune in to stations during the broadcasts.
• For successful broadcasting in the Middle East through satellite companies.
• That the Word of God will not fall on deaf ears as people watch or listen to the broadcast.

Pray that the true meaning of Christmas will touch the hearts of many.

Please include the following in your prayers:

• Pray for friends of the ministry who are working through the financial challenges of our economic times. Pray they will see God's hand in the midst of their situation. Pray God will provide employment and other financial resources to meet their needs. Pray that God will bless them and provide in unique ways that will clearly bring Him glory.
• Pray for the 2008 JESUS Film Project Christmas gift opportunities catalog mailing and follow-up calling. Pray numerous friends will be contacted during the follow-up phase. Pray that many hundreds, even thousands will respond to this special year-end opportunity to help underwrite needs, including film teams, projection equipment, DVDs, audio CDs, and follow-up materials for film evangelism and church-planting efforts worldwide.
• Pray for private foundations considering fourth-quarter grants to the ministry—that they will capture the vision, and will respond favorably to the proposals before them. Pray that they will make grants to those projects, including film teams, leadership training, and church-planting partnerships in Africa.
• Pray for the financial support needs of the missionary staff of the ministry. Pray that many current and new financial partners will be able to make gifts to meet the needs of these staff members—now and in the coming new year.
• Pray for the encouragement of financial partners to consider alternative gifts of securities (non-cash) and retirement assets (IRA Rollovers) before the end of December. Pray that as these partners and friends review their financial situations, they could quickly determine which of the available options will provide the best stewardship and tax benefits, while at the same time advancing the gospel worldwide.
