January 2009 Prayer Impact

"...Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven"  (Mathew 5:16, NIV).

This year marks the beginning of the 30th anniversary of The JESUS Film Project.  

• Praise God with us for His faithfulness which has allowed the "JESUS" film to bring the gospel to millions of people worldwide.
• Continue to pray for the necessary resources to translate the film for language groups who have yet to hear about Jesus.
• Pray for tools and materials for new believers who live in areas of the world where Christian resources are few or non existent.
• Pray for relevant tools to communicate the gospel clearly and effectively to youth and young adults.
• Pray for more partners to translate the script of the "JESUS" film and eventually show the film. Pray that a result of these partnerships will be new dynamic churches.

Please include the following in your prayers:

• Praise God for the way He moved in people's hearts to give in the last few months of 2008. Pray for the timely acknowledgement of these year-end gifts and for wisdom as the funds are allocated to various ministry projects. Also pray for the preparation of reports back to those ministry partners who have contributed to key projects during 2008.
• Pray for at least 125 friends to attend the upcoming briefing on March 5-8, 2009 in Orlando, Florida. Pray that the hearts of those who will attend will begin to sense the Lord's leading for greater involvement. Pray that as these friends experience the weekend, they will gain a greater perspective of biblical stewardship, and their vision for the work of global evangelism and church planting will be enhanced. Pray for the speakers and logistical preparations for the weekend.
• Pray for a strong response to the January appeal letter seeking monthly partners to help support film showing, follow-up and church-planting teams. Pray that many of those who read the letter feel led to give to help take the gospel to unreached people worldwide.
• Pray for the refinement and enhancement of the new JESUS Film website. Pray for upcoming planning meetings to create and design marketing tools to help communicate the mission, vision, and goals of the ministry—as well as ways people can be involved with it.
• Pray for the missionary staff of the ministry needing support for 2009. Pray for new monthly, regular and periodic financial partners to join in underwriting their roles with the ministry.
