Pray for the "Visual Translation Project"

"Commit your way to the LORD: trust in Him and He will do this:  He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn." (Psalm 37:5-6, NIV).

Please pray for a special project, known as the "Visual Translation Project" which seeks to use animation and modern story telling techniques to bring a series of short films on the life Jesus to the 15-35 year old age group. The scripts are based on the "JESUS" film, so once this visual translation is completed, it can be available in any language for which we have a "JESUS" film translation.  

The pilot film for this project entitled "My Last Day on Earth" is being worked on right now. This ten minute film will tell the story of the crucifixion of Jesus through the eyes of the thief who was crucified with Jesus, to whom Jesus said, "Today you will be with me in paradise." This film, which will be using Japanese animé, will fill a crucial role, especially in media sophisticated countries, where the younger audience is jaded toward Biblical films. (Japanese animé is a form of animation that is accepted worldwide by this younger audience.) 

• Pray for God's guidance in this project.
• Praise God that the pilot film is almost completed.
• The pilot will be shown in different countries around the world. Pray for good feedback from the testing of the artwork and the story.
• When this film moves into production, please pray for wisdom in choosing an animation studio and director. 
• Pray for the funds needed for this project. 
• Pray that this tool will open up new avenues of ministry.

 Please include the following in your prayers:  

• Thank God with us for the friends of the ministry who were able to attend the recent briefing in Hot Springs, VA. The weekend was a blessing to many. Also, thank the Lord for those who were led to invest in the work in Central and South America and worldwide. Pray for those who are still considering a financial commitment. Pray that the Holy Spirit will touch hearts and lead a number to make significant investments to advance the work of the kingdom.
• Pray for a strong response to the July appeal letter seeking funds for video and audio tools (DVDs, VCDs and CDs) and duplication equipment for global evangelism. 
• Pray for the fruitful completion of the summer calling project to ministry partners. Pray for our project representatives as they seek to reach at least 4,000 friends to invite them to help supply video and audio tools to present the gospel to people in open and restricted-access countries. Also pray for the fulfillment of commitments both online and off line.
• Pray for churches considering grants to the ministry. Pray they will capture the vision, will respond favorably to the requests and proposals before them, and will make gifts for those projects.  
• Pray for the opportunity to enroll new ministry partners through special mailings. Pray that these mailings will draw many hundreds of new friends to join the ministry and help provide video and audio tools and for ongoing film team needs worldwide. Pray for at least 2,000 new donors to join this summer in support of the work of global film evangelizing and church-planting.
• Pray for continuing efforts to refine and enhance the effectiveness of The JESUS Film website and e-communication program. Pray for wisdom and insight in the creation and design of online marketing tools and strategies to help present the mission, vision, and objectives of the ministry and opportunities for new friends to be involved with us.
