Partnerships Powering Progress

"Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness..." (2 Corinthians 9:10, NASB). 

Advancing the gospel through partnerships with others in the body of Christ is a foundational pillar of the JESUS Film ministry. This month please pray for key partnership opportunities:

• “Heartbeat Tallinn” is being conducted this month in partnership with the churches and the small Christian community in Estonia. Even after 20 years of freedom from Soviet communism, the souls of the Estonian people remain, for the most part, spiritually cold.
  Equipped with DVDs depicting a special version of “JESUS,” made just for the country of Estonia, as well as the premiere release of “Magdalena,” “File Zero,” and several other European short films, 600 ministry workers from across Europe will be using mobile devices, such as smart phones and tablets, to put the gospel on film into the hands and hearts of 50,000 Estonian men, women and children. Pray that the life-giving message of Christ portrayed in these films will flow into the hearts of people whom God’s Spirit has prepared to receive it.
• The Seed Company, a ministry of Wycliffe Bible Translators, is a long-standing strategic partner. They are now seeking to discover more creative ways to translate languages for smaller unreached people groups. Pray as they work to help us find new ways to accelerate the script translation and recording processes. Ask God for both inspired leaders and innovative ideas to advance this area of the harvest.
• Pray for our partnership staff as they begin to work with field ministry partners to create plans for translating the “JESUS” film into 402 languages spoken in the Pacific Islands region. Also, this month they will be working with other partners to draft plans for producing “JESUS” in 300 additional languages for seven countries in the Amazon Basin region of South America. Ask the Lord to raise up individuals and groups who can help champion the script creation and subsequent language recordings of “JESUS” to help reach these hundreds of unreached people groups, most of whom have 50,000 to 100,000 speakers.
  
  In addition, please include the following in your prayers:

• Pray for a good response to the July postal mail appeal seeking underwriting for DVDs and duplicating equipment, along with MP4 players for Asia and worldwide. Pray that as friends read the letter, many will be prompted by the Holy Spirit to give and to help support the workers taking the gospel to people in both open and restricted-access nations.
• Pray for the finalizing of a DVD documenting the work of the ministry in East Asia. Pray that the editing phase will be completed on time for distribution in August and that it will touch the hearts of those who view it. Pray also that many will be led to support the work in that part of the world.
• Pray for the mid-August launch of a new donation system for the ministry. Pray all systems and processes will work properly. Also, pray for the staff to quickly learn the aspects of the system that will enable them to perform their roles more effectively.
• Pray for the development of funds through a broad appeal for “Mission 865” that will provide new translations of “JESUS” for the least reached people groups across the globe. Pray for new financial partners to join this effort at all giving levels.
• Pray that funds for the launch of our digital media distribution platform will be raised and matched in their entirety by the July 31st deadline.
• Pray for foundations considering grants to the ministry during the second half of 2012. Pray that they will capture the vision, and will respond favorably to the proposals before them. Pray that they will make grants to key projects, including new language translations, film teams, church-planting partnerships, and evangelistic and follow-up film projects.
• Pray that as the ministry invites friends to attend the Colorado Springs October 11-14 briefing, God will draw those whom He has prepared not only to be ministered to, but also for further financial involvement.
