Uganda: Church Grows Threefold

Two "JESUS" film team members, participating in a training session in Kampala, Uganda's capital city, met with a pastor with whom they had partnered to show the "JESUS" film six months earlier. At that time, this pastor's church had very few members, but now she encouraged the team to come back for a visit, delightedly relating that her congregation had grown threefold as a result of the "JESUS" film showing in the Nyoro, also known as Runyoro, translation.

Many people attended the showing, but only a few came forward to accept Christ as Savior and Lord-and the team left disappointed. But "God is performing great things!" declared the pastor. "The Holy Spirit worked among the people to convict them of their sin. Now every Sunday they come [to my church] to get saved, quoting the JESUS film they had watched."
