Rwanda: Partnering Together to Proclaim the Good News

The JESUS Film Project now partners with Faith Comes By Hearing, an organization that has developed the "Proclaimer," a solar-powered digital player dedicated to sharing God's Word. After watching the "JESUS" film and hearing the gospel for the first time in their own language, new believers can join a "New Life Listening Group," where they listen to the entire New Testament in their heart language.

In Rwanda, one new believer testified: "To me God did a miracle because before the 'JESUS' film and the Proclaimer came we did not know the gospel. When the 'JESUS' film came and I was invited to see it, this was the first time I ever came to church and had ever heard the gospel. I accepted Christ! It tremendously impacted me as we listened to John 11:17, where Lazarus had been dead for four days and Jesus told the sisters that he would be raised again and he did. I was dead just like Lazarus but Jesus was able to raise me from the dead and now I'm a 'proclaimer' of Jesus because of listening to God's Word."

Another man shared: "I was a sinner, a devil worshipper and a murderer. When I heard the Bible I decided to be saved and follow Christ. ... The Proclaimer has helped me so much and changed me. It has also helped the whole church. ... The Proclaimer is also helping us evangelize and we have many house groups, and with the one Proclaimer have about 500 listeners!"
