When planning to show the "JESUS" film in a Muslim area of Africa, the film team approached the appropriate government official for permission. For security reasons, the administrator insisted they show the film in the government compound.
As the team proceeded to set up their equipment, they were stopped by the compound guard! He refused to allow them to set up for the show despite their having permission to do so. The administrator happened to walk by, and when he learned what was happening, he fired the guard on the spot!
The "JESUS" film workers begged him to have mercy on the guard, but he was adamant. Nevertheless, the team continued to plead with the administrator, and he finally relented. After the "JESUS" film showed that day, the fired guard came forward to receive Christ!
A Campus Crusade for Christ staff member in this country noted, "I personally believe that an act of kindness and mercy on the side of the 'JESUS' film team opened this man's heart wide enough that he was open to hearing the gospel message and received Christ as his personal Savior!"
