Antagonistic Priest Comes to Christ

  • Global
In a country resistant to Christianity, a priest lived in an area where a team came to show the "JESUS" film. The priest tried to stop them, even coming to argue publicly with the team before the film began. There were other people there, however, who wished to see the film, so the team progressed with their plans. In the middle of the showing, the team stopped the film to present the gospel message. Later, after the film finished, the priest came to the team members and humbly asked about Jesus. The team told him the things he practiced were mere rituals, traditions and customs created by people. Rather than helping him and the people of his community, these practices caused them to become poor spiritually and destitute of spiritual strength. The priest asked what he should do to receive salvation and be redeemed from the path he traveled. He desired to be free from his useless rituals and from the difficult life that held him in bondage. Once he came to understand what it meant to accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior, the priest took that step and finally received real freedom!
