Forgiveness Is the Difference

An old woman, an adamant follower of another religion, never encouraged anything related to Christianity. Nevertheless, by God's intervention she recently chose to watch the "JESUS" film when it was shown in her heart language. She followed the film with keen interest, openly joining the crowd in clapping when Jesus performed miracles and healings. However, when she saw the Jesus who had performed such miracles in love, being wickedly nailed to and hung on the cross, she became deeply moved. In fact, this elderly woman could not control her feelings, but wept heavily as she saw and heard the sound of the nails going through the hands and feet of Jesus. Then she heard His paradoxical statement from the cross, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." This was a turning point for her. She testified later that this kind of forgiveness does not happen in her religion, which feeds on revenge. During the altar call, she came forward first to accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She joined the local church and now serves happily. Others of her family join her there. Praise our good, kind and merciful God! Pray for this old woman and many more like her.
