Faith in Christ Overrides Family Traditions

For many years after school each day, John's life revolved around looking after his father's cattle. Living in South Africa, John was exposed to generations of his family’s traditional worship of ancestors and idols. As a 19-year-old young man, he met Deon, an evangelist and organizer of a local outreach to Venda speakers using the "JESUS" film. After watching the film, John told Deon that it was so wonderful to hear the story of Jesus in his own language. He wanted to remember the whole story so he could tell it to his brothers, other family members, and friends.
