Indian Reservation Receives "JESUS"

A church group in New Mexico is reaching out to members of the Zuni people.

The Zunis are associated with the Pueblo Indians of the Southwest. This past spring, church members mailed out more than 1,500 DVDs—one to each Zuni home on the reservation.

They say the response has been positive. One woman described the Zuni “JESUS” film as “beautiful, precious, exciting, and understandable.” Many people want more copies to give to relatives who live outside the reservation.

One man told the church pastor that the Zuni “JESUS” film is “the best thing that’s ever happened” to them!

The Zuni version of the “JESUS” film is one of six completed Native American translations of the film.
