"JESUS" film teams are doing much more than showing people the film "JESUS."
Some 2,500 "JESUS" film teams are also mobilizing local Christians, churches, indigenous mission groups and others. Teams train them to disciple new believers and plant churches…often using "JESUS." The result is whole movements of evangelism and discipleship being born.
Morris (pseudo name to protect his identity) is a staff leader in one of those movements. Once a member of a "JESUS" film team, he now strategically helps mobilize a breakthrough movement of evangelism and church planting, particularly in a traditionally unresponsive area.
Morris and national partners started by showing "JESUS" in a town with a single church of 15 members. Immediately, the church doubled in size to 30 members. Then working with local pastors—whom he and his team trained and equipped—they saw 316 new churches planted in one year! Attendance at other churches also swelled. Even former priests of the dominant religion are being reached, responding, and, after being discipled and trained, becoming part of the movement.
Morris enthusiastically tells of the many others who are responding, of God’s power and grace as the gospel is breaking through once impenetrable, spiritual walls. Working with local pastors (who have taken on this same vision), Morris can see the day when there will be a church planted in every 1,000 population area, resulting in tens of thousands of new churches.
For your gracious partnership that helps make the ministry of partnership possible, thank you. Rejoice with us over the wondrous grace of God!
