We so appreciate partners of the ministry who share their own stories of "JESUS." Here is one we received from Glen, who lives in Washington State. He wrote of an incident he experienced several years ago:
"After the Berlin Wall fell down and the Eastern Block countries fell apart, Russia was more open to Western ministry. In the early 1990s I contacted Richard of Impact Ministries. They had been doing ministry for a long time even when Russia was closed. Their main work was east of the Ural Mountains in Siberia and Kamchatka area. Richard told us we could go with him on his next trip. So I ordered 10 or 12 copies on the Russian language of 'JESUS.' We hoped to give them out to pastors while there.
Sadly, Richard had to tell me there was no room for us. A choir from Germany was joining them. I asked if they could take and give away the copies of 'JESUS.' He agreed and asked if he could make copies to show on Russian TV over all Siberia. I advised he would need to ask Campus Crusade for Christ for permission.
Months went by and we had not heard anything about the trip. When we saw Richard was speaking locally, we attended. I asked what happened with the videos we had sent with him. Both Richard and his wife got very excited. They said, 'You would not believe what happened. We got permission and were able to show it on national television at Christmas in the eastern side of Russia, reaching deep into Siberia. Thousands asked for a copy which were duplicated and shipped throughout Siberia.' Praise the Lord!!"
