Donate Your Old Phone to Help Share JESUS

If you or someone you know has upgraded a smartphone or tablet recently, or are considering it, this innovative way to help may interest you. Many people who get new phones are likely to leave their old ones wasting space in a drawer waiting to recycle them. What if I told you that you could donate your old phone or tablet to Jesus Film Project® and help reach hundreds or even thousands of lives for Christ?

Marc Vergo, a Jesus Film® staff member, reported: “Of the 8,000 people they [staff and volunteers] met with, using the phones, we saw 4,000 people accept Christ over three months, so that is over 130 new believers per phone!”

The Jesus Film staff are ready to send gently used smartphones and tablets to pastors and church planters in Africa to help reach and disciple people for Christ. Your old smartphone or tablet can help touch and transform the lives of people who are ready to hear the gospel in their heart language.

People like you have already sent over 29 phones. Our staff completely erased and reset the phones, loaded them with Jesus Film Project® content and the Jesus Film Project app, and sent them to West Africa and Ethiopia.

Staff and volunteers used them to meet with seekers, many who had seen or heard JESUS on TV or radio and responded.

“We’re currently working with a ministry partner to spread the gospel through peer-to-peer phone sharing, using the donated phones. There will be no need for the internet in isolated places. This could be huge, truly disciple-multiplying in these closed, restricted countries, like when Jesus fed the 5,000! I hope that hundreds of friends of JESUS will send in their used phones or iPads. We’re ready and excited!”

-Marc Vergo, Jesus Film Project®

How Phone Donations Spread the Good News
