The greatest gospel gap in the world is in 50 countries—they have barely any new, thriving churches. And nearly 75% of all the world’s unreached people (3.6 billion) live in 12 of those 50 countries. These people have the least access to the gospel in their own language.
Engage in strategic, focused prayer for the 12 countries of the world that are least reached with the gospel without ever leaving home.
Every month in 2022 we’ll feature one of these countries, familiarize you with its culture, and share prayer requests addressing the country’s specific needs. We believe the light of Jesus can shine through!

This month China hosts the 2022 Winter Olympics. Let’s pray for the 1.4 billion people in this ancient and influential nation.
China is the most populated country in the world, with 56 officially-recognized ethnic groups. Some sources list over 500!
Buddhism is practiced by 13-17% of the population. That makes China the largest Buddhist country in the world. Even so, Protestantism is the country’s fastest-growing religious group.
China is considered by many the oldest continuous major civilization, dating back about 3,500 years.
This massive country borders 14 countries, four of which we’re also highlighting as a least-reached country during For the Least Reached: A Year of Prayer.
For the people of China the color red symbolizes happiness. That’s why it’s so frequently used in festival decorations.

Many in China don’t believe in God at all, but do follow other major world religions. In fact, 21% practice traditional folk religions. Pray that they will come to know Jesus Christ and worship Him alone.
The Chinese government closely monitors all religious activity in China, which sometimes comes with gathering restrictions. Despite the restrictions, pray for churches in China to flourish according to God’s will above all, and for a growing bond between believers across the nation
Pray for a stable supply of food—rice, meat, vegetables—for those across the country in need. May they come to trust God as their provider.
