Crushing

Like many of us… She works hard…but it’s never good enough. Not only does she struggle with work… She also struggles to be a mother to her teen son. She is always apologizing to people for her son’s actions. Even strangers point out her failures to control her son’s behavior. She knows she is not a perfect mother. Especially, to her mother-in-law, she is always a disappointment. Everything always seems to be her fault. Even her own husband ignores her. That’s it! She can’t take it anymore! She shouts - GET THOSE DIRTY SOCKS OFF MY TABLE! That’s what she could have done…like anybody could…but… She is different… …because…she has Jesus. In Him, she is free. She knows she will always be judged. She can never make everyone happy. She knows she can never be that perfect mother to her son. But, she can live with that because she knows her self-worth can only be found in Jesus’s love for her. In His grace, Jesus has set her free from the bondage of this world. And this grace is all she ever needs to face this life. Do you know his grace?
