در معبد، عیسی بیوه زنی را مشاهده می کند که هر آنچه را داشت به خداوند می دهد. مردم در جمعیت متوجه این موضوع می شوند که او مقدار کمی را می دهد. آنها از او می خواهند که بیشتر بدهد. اما عیسی به همه اعلام می کند که بیوه زن بیش از هر کس دیگری هدیه داد. کسان دیگری که هدیه دادند از پول اضافی که داشتند بود. اما بیوه زن، با وجود فقرش، همه چیزی را که داشت بخشید.
