For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas and then to the Twelve. After that, He appeared to more than five hundred brothers at once, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep.

You know bunnies and eggs and spring flowers are all symbols
that you see around on Easter.
They all represent new life.
And they are all pretty cute.
But new life isn't just cute, right?
It's powerful.
I mean when you really stop to think about what life is,
it's amazing.
Here is the downside though,
if you follow each new life to it's natural conclusion,
it all eventually ends up in death.
But that's where Easter comes in.
On Easter, followers of Jesus are celebrating not just new life,
but resurrection life.
The day Jesus came back to life from death.
People around the world believe that the resurrection of Jesus
really happened
and that it was the ultimate victory of life over death.
Not only that, but they believe
that the power that raised Jesus to life
is available to anyone.
And it can change their lives as well.
If they are right
and if Jesus really was raised from the dead
and offers that kind of resurrection life,
I think that's worth looking into
and worth celebrating.
So have a happy Easter!
