Friendship has always been super important to me. That's why it really hurt when my classmate pulled me aside and told me I wasn't welcome in her friend group anymore. I remember thinking "I thought they were my friends." I felt as if a door had been slammed in my face. I started to wonder, "does everyone see me this way?" Will I always feel like this? When I opened up to my parents and friends, their advice wasn't enough for me. So for the next couple months, I kept asking God -"why?" I don't understand. This hurts so much! Why is there so much anger inside of me? Please take away this pain. As I continued to come before Him, many times in tears, He started to soothe my aching heart and gave me the desire to forgive her. Somehow, I was able to both forgive her and even pray for her too! I never thought I could forgive her, but I learned that Jesus does understand my pain. He experienced betrayal from a friend during one of His lowest moments. Looking back, I can see that God is always with me, even in the hardships of life.
