More than that, I count all things as loss compared to the surpassing excellence of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God on the basis of faith.

Jesus' life on earth represents God's pursuit of humanity. Embracing God's offer of forgiveness stands in stark contrast to religious legalism or self-help endeavours. Instead of striving to meet a set of requirements, we receive a solution. Jesus' claim to deity and His death and resurrection transcends the confines of time, offering an eternal invitation rather than a mere obligation. It beckons to humanity, presenting a choice, acceptance or rejection. There's no room for ambiguity. Eventually we have to respond with a definite yes or no. So think about it. We all grapple with the concept of sin. With feeling disconnected from something much greater than ourselves. It's like trying to fill a void that nothing in this world can satisfy. Accepting Jesus is not just acknowledging that void, but recognising that we can't fix it on our own. It's finally admitting that we're not the experts to solving our own problems. And then there's trust. Trusting that Jesus is the missing piece, the answer to what we've been searching for. It's believing that he's not just a historical figure, but also the key to unlocking the fullness of life. And then finally, it's about making a choice. It's like saying, "Alright, I'm in. Let's see where the journey takes me." It's about embarking on an adventure of discovering who God truly is and experiencing His love in ways we never thought possible. This is good news, the Gospel, and it's within your reach for the taking. So are you in?
