Where You Belong

A football is typically made of leather, rubber and stitching. It’s not special. There are millions of them in every country of the world. But when it’s on the field... there is nothing more important. Every player on the field wants to know exactly where it is. Everyone in the stands is screaming with excitement. Their lives are forgotten, all because of this ball. When a player gets the ball, their focus is all-consuming. For them, in this moment, there is nothing else, and no one else, more important. They don't care how much energy it takes, or how much they’ll hurt later. They’ll even shield the ball with their own bodies to protect it. There’s only one thing worth doing... ... getting the ball where it belongs. Something that might surprise you is... That’s how Jesus sees you. Jesus knows everything about you. And he accepts you anyway, and wants to protect you and take care of you. Jesus even gave his own life for a single, all-consuming purpose... so you could be where you belong... Home. With him. Where you belong. After a match ends, everyone leaves the stadium. But Jesus is still waiting. For you. Jesus loves you. It's your choice. Let him bring you home.
