Clubes de História: Jesus é Crucificado
Eles chegam no lugar onde as cruzes estão sendo preparadas. Outros estão sendo amarrados em suas cruzes. Jesus é despido e levado à sua cruz. Eles o jogam sobre ela. Gritos ressoam quando os outros são pregados em suas cruzes. Os pregos são martelados através dos pulsos e dos pés de Jesus, enquanto ele grita. Então, lentamente, as cruzes são erguidas com os Romanos puxando as cordas. Jesus é levantado alto no ar. Ele pende na Cruz, cansado e com dor. Ele ora por aqueles na multidão. Ele pede a Deus que os perdoe porque não sabem o que fazem. A multidão murmura aos pés da Cruz. Anás e Caifás comentam que Ele salvou outros e perguntam por que Ele não salva a Si mesmo. I have found in Him no offense worthy of death. So after I punish Him, I will release Him.” But they were insistent, demanding with loud voices for Jesus to be crucified. And their clamor prevailed. So Pilate sentenced that their demand be met. As they had requested, he released the one imprisoned for insurrection and murder, and he handed Jesus over to their will. As the soldiers led Him away, they seized Simon of Cyrene on his way in from the country, and they put the cross on him to carry behind Jesus.

When the centurion saw what had happened, he gave glory to God, saying, “Surely this was a righteous man.” And when all the people who had gathered for this spectacle saw what had happened, they returned home beating their breasts.
