StoryClubs: The Tomb is Empty
Mary Magdalene rushes into a room full of disciples. She tells the men the stone has been rolled away. And that when she and the others went into the tomb, the body was gone. Joanna speaks of the angels. She says there were two shining men. And they told the women not to look for the living among the dead. Peter rushes away and to the tomb. He runs in and walks right to the rocky shelf. But there's no body. There's only the linen. He kneels and takes it in his hands. He shuffles it, looking through it. But after a moment he stops. શેર કરોઅઠવાડિયાને પહેલે દિવસે, પ્રભાતે, જે સુગંધીદ્રવ્યો તેઓએ તૈયાર કર્યાં હતાં તે લઈને તે સ્ત્રીઓ તેમની કબરે આવી. તેઓએ કબર પરથી પથ્થર ગબડાવેલો દીઠો. તેઓએ કબરમાં પ્રવેશ કર્યો પણ પ્રભુ ઈસુનું શબ તેઓને જોવા મળ્યું નહિ. એમ થયું કે, એ સંબંધી તેઓ ગૂંચવણમાં પડી હતી, ત્યારે ચળકતાં વસ્ત્ર પહેરેલા બે પુરુષો તેઓને દેખાયા. તેઓએ ડરીને જમીન સુધી પોતાનાં માથાં નમાવ્યાં, ત્યારે તેઓએ તેઓને કહ્યું કે, ‘મૂએલાંઓમાં જીવતાંને કેમ શોધો છો? તે અહીં નથી, પણ ઊઠયા છે; યાદ કરો કે તે ગાલીલમાં હતા ત્યારે તેમણે તમને શું કહ્યું હતું? પાપી માણસોના હાથમાં માણસનો દીકરો પરસ્વાધીન કરાય તથા વધસ્તંભે જડાય અને ત્રીજે દિવસે પાછા ઊઠે એ જરૂરનું છે.’” તેમને ઈસુની વાતો યાદ આવી. કબર આગળથી પાછી આવીને તેઓએ અગિયાર શિષ્યોને તથા બીજા સર્વને એ બધી વાતો કહી. હવે જેઓએ આ વાત પ્રેરિતોને કહી તે મરિયમ મગ્દલાની, યોહાન્ના, યાકૂબની મા મરિયમ તથા તેમની સાથેની બીજી સ્ત્રીઓ હતી. એ વાતો તેઓને અક્કલ વગરની લાગી, અને તેઓએ તેઓનો વિશ્વાસ કર્યો નહિ. પણ પિતર ઊઠીને કબરે દોડી ગયો; અને નીચા વળીને અંદર જોયું તો તેણે શણના વસ્ત્રો એકલા પડેલા જોયા; અને જે થયું હતું તે સંબંધી પોતાના મનમાં તે આશ્ચર્ય પામતો પોતાને ઘરે ગયો.
