The Story Behind Sweet Tooth

My name is Lauren Macher and recently I had the opportunity to direct a minute-long short film that happens during Halloween. This movie was a ton of fun to work on. I thought the whole trick idea was hilarious. The fact that the kids are out to trick the dentist but the entire time the dentist is actually tricking the kids. These kids just kind of want to have the best Halloween possible. They get what they want but I don't think that they actually win in the end. The glorious taste of the candy bar is just so short-lived. What I've seen in my own life is that the desires that we have might be good But maybe we are missing out on something even better. And as a Christian some of the most meaningful stories to me are ones that have to do with desires and satisfaction. We have a God who has created us who knows what we truly need. He knows the only things that will truly satisfy us. I hope when you watch the film that you'll laugh but I also hope that it causes you to seriously consider the things that you are chasing after.
