Woe to Those Who Cause Others to Sin

As Jesus and the disciples continue to walk the countryside he tells them that there will be temptation. There will be situations which cause people to sin. But the disciples should never be the cause. He looks into the crowd and says it would be better for that person to have a large stone hung around his neck and be tossed into the sea. That would be better than causing someone else to stumble in or lose their faith.

Luke 17:1-3

Jesus said to His disciples, “It is inevitable that stumbling blocks will come, but woe to the one through whom they come! It would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck and to be thrown into the sea than to cause one of these little ones to stumble. Watch yourselves. If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.
