빌라도에게 보내진 예수님
로마군사들이 문을 열고 예수님을 데려갑니다. 뒤를 따르는 무리와 함께 그들은 뜰로 행군합니다. 본디오 빌라도가 나옵니다. 그는 가장 잔인한 로마 총독으로 알려졌고 천여명에게 십자가에 못박힘 선고를 내린 사람이다. 빌라도는 뭘 원하는지 그들에게 묻습니다. 유대인 무리는 예수님이 그들의 사람들을 혼란에 빠뜨리고 성전앞 시장에서 소란을 피웠다고 소리칩니다. 빌라도에게 형벌을 요구합니다. 빌라도는 예수님에게 그가 유대인들의 왕인지 묻습니다. 예수님은 “네말이 옳도다”라고만 대답합니다.

공유Then the whole council rose and led Jesus away to Pilate. And they began to accuse Him, saying, “We found this man subverting our nation, forbidding payment of taxes to Caesar, and proclaiming Himself to be Christ, a King.” So Pilate asked Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” “You have said so,” Jesus replied. Then Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds, “I find no basis for a charge against this man.” But they kept insisting, “He stirs up the people all over Judea with His teaching. He began in Galilee and has come all the way here.” When Pilate heard this, he asked if the man was a Galilean. And learning that Jesus was under Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent Him to Herod, who himself was in Jerusalem at that time.
