Luke 15:11-14

Then Jesus said, “There was a man who had two sons. The younger son said to him, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them. After a few days, the younger son got everything together and journeyed to a distant country, where he squandered his wealth in wild living. After he had spent all he had, a severe famine swept through that country, and he began to be in need.

While Jesus was still on Earth. He told a story. "A young man said to his father, 'Give me my share of the inheritance.' The young man set off for a distant country, and there wasted his money in wild living. After he had spent everything, he hired himself out to do the lowest job: feeding pigs. One day, he came to his senses. He thought, 'How many of my father's hired workers have food to spare? And here I am starving to death? I will set out and go back to my father and say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Please just make me like one of your hired workers.' So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him. He ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.' But the father said to his servants, 'Quick, bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and on his feet. Let's have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was lost and now has been found.'" All of us are like the young son. We have all sinned and left God our Father. But like the son, we can come back to God. We must all ask forgiveness for our sins and return to God to have the life He wants us to have as His children. Jesus said, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Would you like to let Jesus bring you back to God?
