Have you ever wondered... Who is God?
Can He be known?
What is He like?
The holy scriptures say, “The Lord our God, The Lord is one.”
He is Almighty.
He has no beginning, no end, and no need for anything.
He’s eternal, existing outside of time.
Infinite.
As the creator of everything, He can choose to do anything He wants...
...and in His boundless love,
He chose to create us to be in relationship with Him
and know Him.
In the holy scriptures, it’s clear:
He is unchanging, pure, and honorable in all His ways.
And yet,
He wants to welcome us into His family as children.
He wants to be our heavenly Father.
But He is also King of all, seen and unseen.
And He cannot ignore our rebellion.
So when people defy His commands,
His anger burns against our actions.
As the perfect Judge, he upholds truth and righteousness.
Even when it means destruction.
The world is enslaved to rebellion against God.
And He mourns our rebellion.
But God is also all powerful!
So powerful, He can redeem the unholy and transform it with love and righteousness!
He can draw us close to Him!
With patience and generosity,
He cares for His children,
guiding them, encouraging them.
His favor is abundant
and when He makes promises,
He is faithful to keep them.
He is ever-present,
bigger than we can imagine...
but also close.
Personal.
The King of all,
yet also... Father.
He is perfect in every way,
including His love for us.
He sees us not only as slaves to rebellion,
but also as children He created, and plans to free.
He invites us to know Him and live in relationship with Him
by His power
with His joy
and peace.
