Jesus is Mocked and Questioned
Jesus gets beaten by the temple guards. A man tells the guards to bring Jesus in to see the council. Annas and Caiaphas enter. The room is full of other Jewish men. They want to know if Jesus is the Messiah. Jesus only replies that if He tells them, the council won't believe Him. He says the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of God. They ask if He is the Son of God. Jesus replies that they say He is. They don't know what to make of His answer. One of them stands and acts as a witness. Everyone heard His replies. The council decides to take Him to Pilate.

શેર કરોઈસુ જે માણસોના હવાલે હતા તેઓએ તેમની ઠેકડી ઉડાવી અને તેમને માર માર્યો. તેઓએ તેમની આંખોએ પાટો બાંધીને તેને પૂછ્યું કે ‘કહી બતાવ, તને કોણે માર્યું?’” તેઓએ દુર્ભાષણ કરીને તેમની વિરુદ્ધ બીજું ઘણું કહ્યું. દિવસ ઊગતાં જ લોકોના વડીલોની સભા, મુખ્ય યાજકો તથા શાસ્ત્રીઓ ભેગા થયા; અને તેમને પોતાની ન્યાયસભામાં લઈ જઈને તેઓએ કહ્યું કે, “જો તમે ખ્રિસ્ત હો, તો અમને કહો.” પણ ઈસુએ તેઓને કહ્યું કે, “જો હું તમને કહું, તો તમે વિશ્વાસ કરવાના નથી વળી જો હું પૂછીશ તો તમે મને જવાબ આપવાના નથી. પણ હવે પછી માણસનો દીકરો ઈશ્વરના પરાક્રમને જમણે હાથે બિરાજશે.” લોકોએ કહ્યું, “તો શું, તમે ઈશ્વરના દીકરા છો?” તેમણે તેઓને કહ્યું કે, “તમે કહો છો તે મુજબ હું તે છું.” અને તેઓએ કહ્યું કે, “હવે આપણને પુરાવાની શી જરૂર છે? કેમ કે આપણે પોતે તેમના મુખથી જ સાંભળ્યું છે.”
