Healing on the Sabbath
A boy asks Jesus to tell them more about the kingdom. Jesus teaches in the synagogue that believers shouldn't fear. That God is pleased to give them the kingdom. They can feel free to give because their treasure is somewhere else. He urges them to sell their possessions and give to people. He insists that they can make a treasure in heaven that will never wear out. He says that the treasure follows the heart and where it is.

વધુ વાંચો...વિશ્રામવારે ઈસુ એક સભાસ્થાનમાં ઉપદેશ કરતા હતા. ત્યાં એક સ્ત્રી એવી હતી કે જેને અઢાર વર્ષથી બીમારીનો દુષ્ટાત્મા વળગેલો હતો. તે કૂબડી હતી અને સીધી ઊભી થઈ કે રહી શકતી જ નહોતી. ઈસુએ તેને જોઈને તેને બોલાવી, અને તેને કહ્યું કે, ‘બહેન, તારી બીમારી મટી ગઈ છે.’” ઈસુએ તેના પર હાથ મૂક્યો; અને તરત તે ટટ્ટાર થઈ અને ઈશ્વરનો મહિમા કરવા લાગી. પણ વિશ્રામવારે ઈસુએ તેને સાજી કરી, તેથી સભાસ્થાનના અધિકારીએ ગુસ્સે થઈને લોકોને કહ્યું કે, ‘છ દિવસ છે જેમાં માણસોએ કામ કરવું જોઈએ, એ માટે તે દિવસોમાં આવીને સાજાં થાઓ, પણ વિશ્રામવારે નહિ.’” પ્રભુએ તેઓને ઉત્તર આપતા કહ્યું કે, ‘ઓ ઢોંગીઓ, શું તમારામાં એક પણ માણસ એવો છે જે વિશ્રામવારે પોતાના બળદને કે ગધેડાને ગભાણમાંથી છોડીને પાણી પીવા સારુ લઈ જતો નથી? આ સ્ત્રી જે ઇબ્રાહિમની દીકરી છે, જેને શેતાને અઢાર વર્ષથી બાંધી રાખી હતી, તેને વિશ્રામવારે છૂટી કરી એ શું ખોટું કર્યું?’” ઈસુ એ તે વાતો કહી ત્યારે તેમના સામેવાળા શરમિંદા થઈ ગયા; પણ અન્ય લોકો તો ઈસુ જે અદભુત કામો કરી રહ્યા હતા તે જોઈને આનંદ પામ્યા.
