Parable of the Lamp
Jesus uses a torch to explain how his followers should live. No one covers the light or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it in a place where people will see the light when they come in. He goes on to say that whatever is kept a secret will be brought into the open. And anything that's covered up will be found and brought into the light.

Nadie enciende una antorcha y la tapa con una vasija,
o la pone bajo su lecho.
sino que la coloca en alto,
para que los que entran puedan ver.
Todo lo que sea escondido será descubierto y todo lo que está oculto será encontrado y saldrá a la luz.
Prestad, pues, atención a cómo oís, porque al que tenga se le dará más.
Pero al que no tenga se le quitará incluso lo poco que cree que tiene.
Maestro, tu madre y tus hermanos están ahí fuera y quieren verte.
Mi madre y mis hermanos son los que oyen la Palabra de Dios, y la obedecen.
