If anyone is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. But I tell you truly, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God.”

Pôjde niekto z vás so mnou? Budem ťa nasledovať, Majster, ale dovoľ mi najprv rozlúčiť sa s mojou rodinou. Kto položí ruku na pluh a obzerá sa späť. nie je súci pre Božie kráľovstvo. Kto chce ísť za mnou, nech zaprie sám seba, nech vezme svoj kríž a nasleduje ma. Lebo kto chce zachrániť svoj život, stratí ho. A ktokoľvek stratí svoj život pre mňa, zachráni si ho. Čo by mal z toho, že získa celý svet, ak stratí svoju dušu? Ak sa nieko hanbí za mňa a za moje učenie, tak sa zaňho bude hanbiť aj Syn človeka, keď príde vo svojej sláve a v Otcovej sláve aj so svätými anjelmi. Uisťujem vás, že niektorí z vás nezomrú, kým neuvidia Božie kráľovstvo.
