2. The Blood of Jesus

What is it about Jesus' blood that it alone can provide eternal life? God told us that all of our life was in our blood. He warned us that if we disobeyed Him, we would die. But we did it anyway. We desperately tried to change what was inside us, but couldn't So evil spread and took control of us. Violence led to more violence. Evil led to more evil. When God saw us, the injustice and violence made Him angry and broke His heart. So He promised that one day someone special would come to set everything right. Some expected a mighty king. Many wondered if He would kill all the evil people. Instead, in love, God sent Himself as a helpless baby. He grew and lived alongside us Because only the blood of a pure and innocent man holds the endless life that can wash our evil away. When we trust Him by giving Him our lives like He gave us His, the life in His blood replaces ours and frees us from our own evil. Then we can enjoy life with Him forever.
