teach us to pray.
Yes, Master. How should we pray?
To pray, find an inner room,
and go into it, close the door behind you,
and pray to your Father.
Not like a pagan, reciting and re-reciting
meaningless repetitions again and again.
For your Father knows what it is that you need
before you ask him.
This is the way you should pray.
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done here on earth
as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread,
and forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
