Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing!
If he has saved others.
Let Him save Himself.
If He is the son of God and His Chosen One.
(LAUGHTER)
[MUSIC]
Here is your son, dear woman.
Here is your mother.
My God.
Why?
Have you forsaken me?
After this, Jesus knowing that everything
was already complete, he said,
I'm thirsty.
There was a vessel full of vinegar, so
they soaked a sponge in it
and lifted it to his lips.
If you're king of the Jews,
then save yourself.
[LAUGHTER]
Aren't you the Messiah?
Then save yourself and us.
Don't you fear God
when you are punished like criminals?
Our punishment is just, it's just,
this is what I deserve for the crimes
I have committed.
But this man has done nothing wrong.
Remember me, Jesus,
when you enter into your kingdom.
I tell you truly, with me,
today you shall be in paradise.
[LAUGHTER]
[BLANK_AUDIO]
Jesus cried out with a mighty voice.
And gave up his spirit.
The sun turned black, the earth shook,
and the curtain of the temple rent into,
from top to bottom.
[Thunder]
Father, unto...
your hands I commit my spirit.
It is finished.
[Thunder and Rumbling]
So that the bodies would not be hanging
on crosses on the Sabbath.
One of the soldiers pierced Jesus' side
with a spear,
and instantly blood and water came out.
