Teaching About Prayer and Faith

Jesus has just taught them how to pray. He says, "ask and you will receive." He implores them to seek and assures that they will find. He reminds His followers that none of them would give their children bad things when they ask for good things. He says that no matter how bad mankind is, we still know to give good gifts to our children. And that the Heavenly Father will all the more give the Holy Spirit to those who ask.

Zarao
Luke 11:9-13

So I tell you: Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? So if you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

Luke 12:22-31

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storehouse or barn; yet God feeds them. How much more valuable you are than the birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? So if you cannot do such a small thing, why do you worry about the rest? Consider how the lilies grow: They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory was adorned like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith! And do not be concerned about what you will eat or drink. Do not worry about it. For the Gentiles of the world strive after all these things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek His kingdom, and these things will be added unto you.

Dikanteny an-tsoratra

Malagasy (Fiteny Malagasy)
Mangataha, dia homena ianareo, mitadiava, dia hahita ianareo; dondòny, dia hovohana ianareo. Fa izay rehetra mangataka no mahazo, ary izay mitady no mahita, ary izay mandòndòna no hovohana varavarana. Fa iza moa aminareo izay ray, raha angatahan’ny zanany trondro, no hanome azy menarana ho solony, raha angatahany atody, no hanome azy maingoka? Koa raha ianareo, na dia ratsy aza, mahalala hanome zava-tsoa ho an’ny zanakareo. Tsy mainka va ny Ray, Izay any an-danitra, no hanome ny Fanahy Masina ho an’izay mangataka aminy? Lazaiko aminareo Aza manahy ny amin’ny ainareo, izay hohaninareo, na ny amin’ny tenanareo, izay hotafinareo. Fa ny aina mihoatra noho ny hanina, ary ny tena noho ny fitafiana. Hevero ny goaika; fa tsy mba mamafy na mijinja ireny; ary tsy manana fitoeran-javatra na trano fitehirizana, nefa Andriamanitra mamelona azy; Tsy mihoatra lavitra noho ny vorona va ianareo? Ary iza aminareo, na dia manahy aza, no mahay manampy ny andro iainany? Koa raha ny kely indrindra aza tsy hainareo, nahoana ianareo no manahy ny amin’ny sisa? Hevero ny fanirin’ny voninkazo; tsy mba miasa na mamoly ireny; nefa Solomona teo amin’ny voninahiny rehetra aza tsy mba nitafy tahaka ny anankiray amin’ireny. Raha Andriamanitra mampitafy ny ahitra izay any an-tsaha anio, nefa hatao ao am-patana rahampitso, tsy mainka va ianareo no hampitafiny, ry kely finoana? Ampitomboy ny finoanay. Raha manana finoana hoatra ny voan-tsinapy iray aza ianareo, dia lazao amin’io voaroihazo io: Miongota, ary aoka hambolena ao anatin’ny ranomasina, dia hanaiky anareo izy.
