Widow's Offering
In the temple, Jesus watches a widow give all that she has. People in the crowd note how little she gives. They ask for her to give more. But Jesus proclaims to everyone that the widow gave more than everyone else. Everyone else who contributed gave out of the extra money they had. But the widow, even in her poverty, gave everything she owned.

E a misura che Gesù attaccava l'ipocrisia degli scribi e dei farisei,
allo stesso modo aumentava il suo seguito.
E aumentava anche l'odio di coloro che egli condannava.
Così poco?
Un giorno nel tempio, Gesù vide una povera vedova che offriva due soldi.
Non puoi dare di più?
Io vi dico,
che quella povera vedova ha dato più di tutti gli altri.
Perché tutti gli altri hanno dato parte di quello che avevano in sovrappiù.
Mentre lei,
nella sua miseria,
ha dato tutto ciò che le rimaneva per vivere.
