8. The Bible

How do we begin to understand the God of the universe?
In the beginning, when God made the first people and placed them in a beautiful garden,
He walked with them and taught them personally, until their evil decisions separated them
from His love and presence.
Yet people weren't without hope, because all through history, God continued to speak
to those who loved and served Him.
And, at times, He commanded them to write and save what He taught them.
These writings were gathered in a collection of 66 books called the Bible.
Through reading the books of the Bible, we begin to understand who God is and what
He has promised.
Also, where we came from, who we are, and what our purpose is.
Because only through the lifelong guidance of the Bible can we grow to know Him
and find freedom and life that will never end.
