Jesus Weeps Over Jerusalem
Jesus, His disciples, and a large crowd of followers approach Jerusalem. When it's in sight, Jesus stops and looks out over it. He talks of how Jerusalem could not see and understand a path to peace.

As Jesus approached Jerusalem and saw the city, He wept over it and said, “If only you had known on this day what would bring you peace! But now it is hidden from your eyes. For the days will come upon you when your enemies will barricade you and surround you and hem you in on every side. They will level you to the ground — you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation from God.”

Μακάρι...
...τούτη την ημέρα σου να γνώριζες τι θα οδηγούσε στην ειρήνη σου...
...αλλά έχει κρυφτεί από τα μάτια σου. Θα έρθουν ημέρες που οι εχθροί σου...
...θα σε περιχαρακώσουν και θα σε κυκλώσουν και θα σε πιέσουν από παντού...
...και μέσα σ' αυτά τα τείχη θα σε αφανίσουν, εσένα και τα παιδιά σου.
Και δεν θα σου αφήσουν ούτε πέτρα επάνω σε πέτρα...
...επειδή δεν αναγνώρισες την ημέρα της επίσκεψής σου.
