Kedua Penyamun yang Turut Disalib
Yesus tergantung di antara dua orang laki-laki. Murid-muridNya memandang dengan putus asa. Seorang dari laki-laki yang tergantung itu bertanya jika Yesus adalah Mesias (Juru Selamat). Ia menyuruhNya menyelamatkan diriNya sendiri dan mereka berdua. Seorang lain di salib berkata bahwa Yesus menerima hukuman yang sama seperti mereka yang bersalah. Namun Dia tidak berbuat kesalahan apapun. Orang tersebut meminta Yesus untuk ingat padanya saat Dia kembali sebagai Raja. Yesus berjanji pada orang itu bahwa ia akan berada di surga bersama Yesus.

BagikanOne of the criminals who hung there heaped abuse on Him. “Are You not the Christ?” he said. “Save Yourself and us!” But the other one rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same judgment? We are punished justly, for we are receiving what our actions deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!” And Jesus said to him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
