Burial of Jesus
Joseph of Arimathea asks Pontius Pilate for permission to bury Jesus in a tomb. He receives permission. He and a servant carry the body into the tomb and lay it down on a rocky shelf. Joseph covers the exposed, bloody foot of Jesus and sprinkles dirt on Him.

He was from the Judean town of Arimathea and was waiting for the kingdom of God. He went to Pilate to ask for the body of Jesus.
