Upper Room Teaching
Jesus sits after sharing the bread and wine, sealing a new covenant with His followers, and revealing that there is a traitor among them. He passes on one last specific teaching to His disciples. The disciples listen solemnly. He tells them that the greatest of them must be like the least of them. And the leader must be like the servant. He asks which one is actually greater: the one who sits down at the table or the one who serves? He says that the one who sits is greater. But then He points out that He Himself came as one who serves.

For I tell you that this Scripture must be fulfilled in Me: ‘And He was numbered with the transgressors.’ For what is written about Me is reaching its fulfillment.” So they said, “Look, Lord, here are two swords.” “That is enough,” He answered.
