دختر خایروس به زندگی برگشت
در حینی که عیسی کنیسه را ترک می کند جماعت بر او ازدحام وارد می کند. صدائی بالاتر از دیگران شنیده می شود. مردی به نام یایروس، به عیسی التماس می کند تا دختر بیمارش را نجات دهد، دختر 12 سال سن دارد. مرد دیگری به سمت یایروس می دود. می گوید، استاد را زحمت نده، که دخترت مُرده است. عیسی برمیگردد و به او می گوید ترسان مباش. و اگر یایروس ايمان داشته باشد، دختر او خوب خواهد شد. عیسی و شاگردان، خانوادۀ او را ملاقات می کنند. همسایگان برای از دست دادن دختر شیون می کنند. او روی تخت بی جان قرار گرفته است. عیسی بر او برای لحظه ای می نگرد. سپس به مادر بچه نگاه می کند و او را تسلی می دهد. او می گوید که یچه نمرده است. بلکه به واقع فقط خواب است. عیسی می نشیند و به دختر برای لحظه ای نگاه می کند، سپس به او می گوید برخیز.

Her parents were astounded, but Jesus ordered them not to tell anyone what had happened.
