What are Humans?

What exactly are people? Are we each simply an accident, or is there something special about us? The Bible says that God created humans as part of His holy family; to have a relationship with Him and to share in His goodness. Our family's first parents were called Adam and Eve. The meaning of "Adam" is "human" and Eve means "mother of all." From Adam and Eve would come all humanity. God prepared a garden called Eden for His children to live with Him in paradise. Adam and Eve had a complete trust with God and everything was “very good.” However, in today's world, there are problems, disasters, and in our hearts we find troubles. This seems far from the "very good" that was experienced in Eden Something happened back then that resulted in the imperfect world we see. Eden was paradise. Adam and Eve lived a free life there, but they was one tree from which they were forbidden to eat. God warned that if they take the fruit and eat it, they would definitely die. Satan, the enemy of God, urged Adam and Eve to eat the forbidden fruit. And they ate it. Upon eating it, they immediatly felt shame, as if something in them had changed. They tried to hide from God, but couldn't because God can see everything. Since God is completely holy, impure people and things cannot withstand His presence. Mankind has been separated from God by an insurmountable chasm. This condition is called the "Fall of Man". Now the Garden of Eden is beyond our reach. This is because being with God is what made Eden paradise. However, God is not happy to be separated from us. So He made a promise to Adam and Eve. It was a promise that echoes through time. The promise was that God would, at the most appropriate time, send a Savior to mend this divided relationship. God makes each and every individual with a purpose. And He gives each of us the opportunity to meet Him and find our true purpose. 3. What is Sin? is next.
