Reaching the unreached is a lot more challenging than one might think. Of the billions of people who have never heard of Jesus, many live in hard-to-reach areas and are oral learners who either can’t read or prefer to learn through hearing or speaking. On top of that, many live in oppressive environments with limited electricity and little to no access to the internet.

Missionaries need innovative strategies and tools to adapt to a rapidly changing world.

Renew World Outreach develops and harnesses technology like solar-powered projectors, audio Bibles and Wi-Fi hotspots to help ministries take the gospel to the most remote locations in the world.

So it should be immediately evident where Renew’s vision and the work of Jesus Film Project® intersect!

Missions Innovation Center training

Along with using technology to reach others, Renew recognizes the importance of equipping missionaries to reach a changing world with new strategies and leveraging all technology offers.

The Mission Innovation Center (MIC) uses experienced movement leaders, missions experts and trainers to prepare missionaries to multiply wherever they go. The focus is on giving those with a heart for evangelism long-term effectiveness in the field.

Along with in-person learning, the MIC courses allow people worldwide to be involved, learning remotely. In fact, some of the instructors are actually missionaries who are out in the field themselves, using their real-time expertise to inform the next generation of missionaries.

Renew breaks the MIC training model into four parts:

  1. Learn
Trainees participate in interactive training on innovative strategies that can break new ground out on the field.
  2. Practice
They try out what they learn during practical outreach experiences in the local community.
  3. Plan
Next, they build a contextualized strategy for multiplying movements of disciples who plant churches and train others.
  4. Go
At last, trainees are launched into the mission field to implement their strategy alongside a network of innovative missionaries.

As you can see from this sample course progression for training (which you can see on Renew’s website), the course covers critical concepts necessary for taking the gospel into the most unreached regions.

  • State of the world and culture
  • Missions and technology
  • Multiplying movements
  • Innovation and pioneering

When you couple this training with the state-of-the-art tools Renew uses on the field—like solar projectors, the LightStream Wi-Fi hotspot, and solar-powered audio Bibles—it’s hard not to get excited about the possibilities. Renew and Jesus Film Project

It’s pretty clear why Renew’s ministry objectives are a perfect fit for Jesus Film Project. Tools like the JESUS film equip missionaries to present the gospel to unreached audiences, allowing them to hear Jesus’ words in their own heart language.

With partners like Renew World Outreach, we’re helping to take the gospel to everyone, everywhere.
