예수님과 그의 제자들은 시냇물을 헤쳐나가 사람들이 모여있는 곳으로 건너갑니다. 한 남자가 무슨 일인지 묻습니다. 예수님 뒤를 좇아가 그를 부릅니다. 요한은 돌아서 남자를 예수님 뒤로 도와줍니다. 맹인은 예수님을 다윗의 아들이라 부르고 용서를 빕니다. 예수님은 그가 뭘 하길 바라는지 묻습니다. 남자는 다시 앞을 보기를 바란다고 말합니다.

공유As Jesus drew near to Jericho, a blind man was sitting beside the road, begging. When he heard the crowd going by, he asked what was happening. “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by,” they told him. So he called out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Those who led the way admonished him to be silent, but he cried out all the louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” Jesus stopped and directed that the man be brought to Him. When he had come near, Jesus asked him, “What do you want Me to do for you?” “Lord,” he said, “let me see again.” “Receive your sight!” Jesus replied. “Your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.
